Courses Offered
The Institute conducts the following degree courses in collaboration with The Graduate School, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi
Undergraduate course: IARI Assam has started 4-year B.Sc (Ag.) degree program from the Academic year 2022-23 with an intake capacity of 60 students per year. For the academic session of 2022-2026, 60 students have joined the B.Sc. Agriculture program, marking the first batch of the UG program. The students for the 2023-2027 batch were admitted on 16th November 2023.
Post Graduate course: Agriculture education at IARI Assam started in the academic session of 2015-16.
From 2015-16 to 2022-23, a total of 64 students have completed the M.Sc. Programme, and 25 students are currently undergoing the M.Sc. Programme. Students are conducting field research on various problems specific to the Northeastern region within the region itself. IARI Assam currently offers M.Sc. programme in selected disciplines with a total intake capacity of 32 students per year. The disciplines are Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension Education, Agronomy, Entomology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Soil Science & Vegetable Science.
